Principal's Message
Dear Parents and Carers,
The true culture of the St Pat’s community was abundantly clear on Thursday evening at our beginning of the year picnic. It was an absolute delight to host this event and I thank all parents, carers, grandparents, siblings and special friends that came along and made the evening so successful. Having been unable to host these events for such a long period of time, it reminded me how welcoming, fun and important events like this are to all of us. Special thanks to Mr Templeton for coordinating the games on the night and to the Hands-on Learning team for set up.
Learning Walk
This coming Monday, March 15th from 12.00 - 1.30 pm, we are inviting any interested parents or carers to come and join us for a Learning Walk. The curriculum area for this Learning Walk will be Mathematics.
What is a Guided Learning Walk for Parents?
It is an invitation to parents to come to the school for a set period of time to be led on a facilitated and structured learning walk of the school/classrooms during the school day. Not to look at the decor - but to learn more about the learning that is happening. The purpose is more about giving parents an opportunity to witness what the “real” learning looks like. If you’re available I strongly encourage you to come and join us on Monday. Please register your attendance using this link
St Patrick’s Day - Liturgy and School Leader badge presentation
Wednesday, March 17th is St Patrick’s Day. As part of the feast day of our patron saint, St. Patrick, there are some annual traditions that we’re all getting excited about! Our Liturgy, Green Faces and Green Cupcakes!
Our St Patrick’s Day liturgy will commence at 12 midday at our outdoor assembly space, as part of this liturgy we will be presenting our 2021 Student Leaders with their badges. Following on from our liturgy at approximately 12.30 pm our Green Faces performances will begin. This is an opportunity for students, staff and parents (if you’re interested) to perform any sort of act for our school community. Mr Lloyd and I are currently working on ours! At recess on St Patrick’s day each student receives a green cupcake as part of our day’s celebration (please inform your child’s teacher if they are not able to have a cupcake). Any parent, carer of a special friend is welcome to come and join us for our liturgy and green faces. We ask that you sign using the QR code displayed at the entrance to our school office.
See below for this week's SWPBS focus, "SWPBS in the Quiet Area".
Enjoy a great weekend
Kind regards,

Volunteer Levy
What is the Volunteer Levy at St Pat's?
Our levy, which is listed on your school fees, provides a financial incentive to our school families to become involved with the school and the multitude of activities that take place to make the school run smoothly. Families can contribute to the school in any number of these ways to primarily, reduce their school fees and also provide support to your children through the same process. Volunteering at St Pat's supports school programs and fundraising that enable the school to deliver learning experiences and school equipment for our students. The levy is designed to be a "win-win" for the school community - by helping out, families reduce their fees, by helping out, your children benefit - and that's why we're all here!
If you have any further questions about the volunteer levy, please don't hesitate to ask me or any other St Pat's community member.
Attached below is a copy of this year's Levy Notification (Reimbursement) Form.
Thank you,
Nick Murrell

P&F Catering Team
Our St Pat's catering team has previously brought in funds external of the school and contributed significantly to funds raised by the P & F whilst allowing families to work off their levy. Our quality of catering always gets great reviews and is a service that has a long history within our school community.
If you are looking for a way to get reimbursement towards your levy (up to $250). Here is an option! Family life is busy and we need to look at ways that give people options to be involved. This has led to the introduction of providing grocery items and produce. Whatever you spend on groceries you can claim +15% on what you spend eg. spend $15 for a $17.50 levy claim. You will be advised what grocery items to purchase. Prepared food eg sandwiches, slice etc are itemised with values on the levy claim form (available at the office), based on the cost of ingredients. Preparation time is considered an in- kind donation.
