Acknowledgement of Country
St. Patrick's School acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land on which we work, the Koroitch-gundidj people of the Maar Nation. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging.
Reflection and Prayer - R U OK? Day
"Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins. Show hospitality to one another without grumbling. As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace." —1 Peter 4:8-10
We are a community bound by compassion, understanding, and a shared commitment to the well-being of those around us. Yesterday, we marked a day that echoes a simple yet profound question: "Are you okay?"
RU OK? Day reminds us of the power of connection and the impact of genuine care. It serves as a reminder that in our lives, we are reliant on one another's strength and resilience. This day unites us in the pursuit of a healthier, kinder, and more empathetic society.
As we delve into this scripture piece for RU OK? Day, let us reflect on the significance of this day, where compassion knows no bounds, and the simple act of asking, "Are you okay?" can illuminate the path to hope, healing, and support for all.
Principal's Message
Dear parents and carers,
Footy Colours / Pie Day
It was amazing to see students dressed in their avourite sports team colours today to celebrate the end of term. Thanks to out P&F for their supply of the lovely pies at luncg time to go with the special day.
Year 5/6 Camp
Well done to our Year 5/6 students for an amazing camp in Melbourne this week. Our students represented our school with respect and responsibility while away. They had a sensational time doing some amazing activites at Bounce, Artvo, Melbourne Zoo at night!, Go Climb, The Shrine of Remembrance, Melbourne Museum, Eureka Skydeck and the Australian Sports Museum.
Good luck in Ballarat
We wish Jaxon Leishman, Ellie Dobson, Esther Gleeson and Myra Quill all the best as they weill be representing our school at the Greater Western Region Athletics carnival in Ballarat on the first Friday in Term 4.
School Uniform
Transition to Directwear
Our transition to Directwear, as our uniform supplier, is going well. Uniform is available to order via the Directwear website. The purpose of transitioning to Directwear is to ensure readily available uniform, quality garments and less administrative burden on the school. The transition process means that we have had to slightly change the style of some of the uniform items, namely the school jumper. The current school jumper is not available/stocked in Australian warehouses and is indented from overseas. This creates a number of issues. New jumpers ordered through Directwear will be the same style of jumper, however, they are a windcheater style fabric as opposed to the shiny fabric we are used to. Both the older and the new style jumper are able to be worn at school. I thank the School Advisory Council for their support with the decisions that needed to be made to ensure our uniform supply is consistent, cost effective and of good quality.
$10 Uniform Sale (school stock)
We are running a $10.00 Uniform Sale through CDFPay. All uniform items are on sale for $10.00, excluding School Bags, Hats and Sports Polos. Sale ends Friday 15th September.
Hats
As the weather warms up and UV readings rise, school hats are compulsory for outdoor play at Term 4. Replacement hats can be ordered via CDFPay if required.
I hope everyone enjoys a great holiday break.
School resumes on Monday October 2nd

End of Year Arrangements 2023
Please see below a letter from the Warrnambool and District Catholic Schools Network regarding changes to end of year dates and the reasoning behind this change.
Term 4 Swimming
Thursdays will be busy in Term 4 with our swimming program.
October 6th, 13th, 20th & 27th
November 9th, 16th, 23rd & 30th
Students should come to school with bathers under their uniform and we encourage them to have swimming goggles and a cap. Students will also need a towel and a change of dry clothes for after swimming each Thursday. Belfast Aquatics will not be supplying goggles but they can be purchased at the pool.
Girls with long hair need to have it tied back. A strong waterproof bag would be useful for wet items after swimming. Shoes with velcro straps would be an advantage for younger students.
All items need to be clearly named. Lost items that are unnamed and can be identified as belonging to our students will be placed in the Lost Property Box at school.
If your child is not able to swim on any day could you please forward a note to the school. Students not swimming will travel with their class to Port Fairy.
School Fees
Each year our school receives approximately 85% of funding toward the overall cost of running our school for the year from the Federal and State Governments. Consequently, our school community is required to raise the remaining 15% each year to provide the tuition, programs and resources our children need to ensure the best education. This 15% is raised through School Fees, Student Levies, donations and fundraising.
Currently, for this period in time, we have a substantial amount of outstanding school fees, we understand that there is still half of the school year to go, however, if you could give this some thought it would be appreciated. If you have any outstanding school fees it would be appreciated if you could attend to these in the near future. If you have any questions please contact Bronie or Nick and be assured of respect and total confidentiality. No child will be restricted in accessing a quality Catholic Education at St Patrick’s because of prohibitive school fees.

KFNC - Lighting Project Community Consultation
In July 2023, the Koroit Football Netball Club (KFNC) earned a $125,000 funding commitment from the Moyne Shire to help the Club meet the cost to upgrade the lights on the main oval at Victoria Park Recreation Reserve.
As part of the process to apply for the next round of funding to Sport & Recreation Victoria, KFNC is working to inform and engage our local community, to ensure they are aware of the project.
