Principal's Message
Dear parents and carers,
P&F AGM
The P&F met on Wednesday for the AGM. This year, we have not elected a new committee at this point as we are looking at a restructure of the Committee. Stay tuned for further details.
I want to extend my sincere thanks and appreciation to the outgoing committee, headed by Amy Perry and Tammy Langdon, along with the Picnic in the Paddock committee led by Amy Atwell for the incredible work you have done. Your dedication to supporting parents, fostering community, and contributing to the well-being of our families is truly commendable. Your efforts make a positive impact, and we are grateful for the sense of connection and support you provide.
See the Presidents Report elsewhere in the Newsletter.
Sporting Events
Tryathlon - congratulations to all of our students who participated in the individual and team Tryathlon on Tuesday. Kudos to all the students who stepped outside their comfort zones! It's truly inspiring and wonderful to witness your enthusiastic participation. Embracing new challenges is a key to personal growth, and your willingness to engage in different experiences is commendable. Keep up the fantastic work, and continue to explore the amazing opportunities that come your way!
Thanks also to the parents who volunteered their time to transport bikes, marshall around the course and support the students.
Basketball - Thursday saw our Grade 5/6 All Star Hooptime team headed to Hamilton for the Regional Finals. Although the girls did not make the finals on the day, they had a couple of close games and a great day out. Thanks to Rhiannon Everall and Kate Dobson (you know which one!) for their coaching and to all the parents who supported them on the day.
Show Jumping - Recently, Niamh represented our school in Interschool Showjumping with her horse, Mal (Garnet Bram). Mal is a six year old that Niamh has been riding for 10 months. The event ran over three days and Niamh placed second in her class. Congratulations Niamh.
End of Year Events
Mass Monday 4th December, 11.30am (rescheduled due to priest availability)
Christmas Performance and BBQ Thursday 7th December, 5.30pm
Grade 6 Graduation Wednesday 13th December
Have a great weekend.
Regards,
Nick Murrell

P & F AGM - President's Report
This year our Parents & Friends have been as productive as ever. Fundraising efforts are back to normal post the long COVID period and our social/community aspect of the P&F has been in full swing. We have been fortunate to have our meetings in the new school building (Teachers staffroom) and still being able to meet via Zoom for those that are unable to attend in person.
We have had strong participation in our major fundraising events the Folk Festival BBQ, Irish Festival baked potatoes and our very own Picnic in the Paddock. The P&F have hosted the School Disco, end of term student fun lunch days, catered at funerals and various in-service days and provided the Mother’s and Father’s Day gifts. This year we had our first Father’s Day event with plans to host a Mother’s Day event next year.
We have been able to fundraise $42,489.59 for the school this year. These funds will be used to assist in the purchase of new playground equipment, outdoors sports line marking and other wish list items the teachers have provided to enhance the learning and growth of our children at St Patricks.
In addition to the above, we have also been able to assist with the costs of, graduation gifts, farewell gifts and sporting equipment.
We are very excited about the future of our fundraising and community prospects, with many new ideas being put forward. We welcome new parents and friends anytime to share ideas as without our parents this committee would not be so successful.
We would like to thank the executive members of this committee, the major event co-coordinators, the co-ordinators of all the different roles within the P&F and the general committee members for their support and assistance throughout the year. Your commitment is well and truly appreciated.
Thank-you to the teachers and the members of our school community for their assistance and volunteering, without your continued support our school would not be the wonderful place that it is.
On a personal note, we would like to thank Nick. Mr Murrell you have always been supportive, appreciative of all that the P&F do and have been a true blessing for St Patricks Primary school. We and the school community will sadly say farewell at the end of this year to you but wish you well on your next adventure. Please remember the ‘friends’ part of P&F and we have already rostered you on at the Folk Festival BBQ in 2024.
The P&F will strive to have fundraising success again in 2024 and as outgoing P&F Presidents we wish the
committee well.
Yours sincerely
Amy and Tammy

We are aware of instances of COVID-19 presenting again in our local community.
It is recommended that you should isolate for at least 5 days and until you don’t have symptoms anymore. This means you should not go to work, school or grocery shopping, especially if you work with people at a higher risk of becoming very sick with COVID-19. (Source: Vic.Gov.au Coronavirus)
