Principal's Message
Dear Parents and Carers,
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend as we kick off the countdown to our much-anticipated Picnic in the Paddock on Sunday, 27th October. It’s shaping up to be a fantastic event, and we can’t wait to see everyone there!
Shout out to our Hands On Learning students for their incredible efforts in creating the eye catching hay bale displays both on the highway and out the front of the school. Your hard work is shining brightly, and it’s already helping to build excitement for the big day!
In sad news, Brendan’s father, Michael (Mick) Wilkinson, passed away last week. The St Pat’s community extends our heartfelt condolences to Brendan and his family during this difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all, and we hope you find comfort in the cherished memories shared with Mick.

Picnic in the Paddock
Less than two weeks now! Excitement is building for the Picnic in the Paddock - happening here at St Pat's on Sunday 27th October. This is a wonderful community event which we host.
Some lucky students were drawn out of the hat at assembly to win a free ride pass or a goodie bag!
Things to remember -
- discounted pre-purchased wristbands for school families are available via CDF pay
- please bring in lollies for the lolly bags by Friday 18th
- raffle tickets to be returned by Friday 25th
- baked items for cake stall - please drop off Friday 25th, before 4pm or between 10am and 12noon on Saturday 26th (refer to letter last week for more information)
Helpers Needed: There is an opportunity to volunteer some time to work off your volunteer levy with some set up and pack up tasks.
Friday - (5pm-7pm) collect tables and chairs from Irish Festival Shed at Civic Green and deliver to St Pat's. Ute or trailer useful but not essential - we will need people power as well.
Saturday - (10am-12noon) general set up. Signage, equipment out, gazebo set up, etc.
Sunday - (3pm-4pm) returning tables and chairs to Civic Green, loading bins onto trailer ready for return, general pack up around school - signage down, equipment stowed away, etc.
Please click on the link to sign up - many hands make light work.

Volunteer Levy
There are many opportunities at school to claim off your volunteer levy.
As you would imagine, there are lots of jobs that need to be done at a school. Between classroom responsibilites and duties during most breaks, there are many things that staff don't get the opportunity to do. In times gone by, some of these would be done at working bees. In recent years, we have not had great success in attracting families to working bees as times do not always suit.
If you see a job that needs to be done, that you are happy to take on, we would love your help and can arrange for the credit to your volunteer levy.
Some suggestions - Canteen deep clean, library tidying, lost property sorting. This list is just a start.
Casserole Bank
The St Pat's community has a wonderful tradition of the "Casserole Bank" where families come together to provide a meal or snacks/lunchbox items for families within our school who are in need of support (for example, a new arrival, family illness or bereavement).
This year, the Casserole Bank will be coordinated through the school office. If you are aware of a family requiring support, please contact the office.
If you are willing to help out during the year, please register your name details on the google form below & we will reach out when the need arises. The more volunteers we have, the fewer times people will be called upon to help out.
Canteen & Cake Raffle Rosters
Thanks to those who have already signed up for the Canteen & Cake Raffle Rosters. We now have a new Canteen Sign Up Sheet available for Term 4. We appreciate everyone's help with Canteen - without your assistance, it can not run.
Virginia Martin co-ordinates the canteen, arranging for the stocking of snack items and is happy to take questions from prospective volunteers - 0419 883 657.
