Principal's Message

Dear parents and carers,

Shona and I are thrilled to be Guest Speakers at the "Lead the Way" conference currently being held in Melbourne.  This Conference offers a unique opportunity to engage with renowned global leaders in trauma-informed education, mental health, and child safety. We look forward to sharing our experiences at St Patrick's and gaining insights and  practical strategies from Education Leaders, Mental Health experts and Child Safety and Protection specialists.

3 Way Conversations and Parent Teacher Interviews

3 Way Conversations (Parent-Teacher-Student) and Parent Teacher interviews will be held in Week 8 of this term.

In the interim, if you or your child has any issues, please contact the classroom teacher via email or ClassDojo.  If required, the classroom teacher will reach out to the appropriate leadership team member who will be able to offer specialised support.

Upcoming events for the week ahead:

  • National Week of Action against bullying - students will be participating in activities throughout the week.
  • Thursday 14th - Teeth on Wheels visiting for registered students

And some advance notice for Week 5:

  • Book Week - Dress Up day Tuesday 19th "Book an Adventure"
  • School Closure Days Thursday 21st and Friday 22nd

Kind regards,

Tegan McDonald

Principal

Reflection

Loving God,
You created each of us in Your image, wonderfully made, deeply loved, and never alone.
This week, as we stand together against bullying, we ask for Your strength and guidance.

Help us to be bold—
To stand up for what is right,
To protect those who are hurting,
And to never stay silent in the face of injustice.

Help us to be kind—
To treat everyone with dignity and respect,
To listen with compassion,
And to build a community where all feel safe and valued.

Help us to speak up—
To use our voices for peace,
To challenge cruelty with courage,
And to speak words that heal, not harm.

Jesus, You welcomed the outcast and defended the weak.
Teach us to follow Your example,
So that our schools, homes, and hearts may reflect Your love.

We make this prayer through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

100 Days of Foundation

Congratulations to our Foundation students who celebrated 100 days of school last week by dressing as 100 year olds or 100 days brighter!  We look forward to sharing lots of celebrations with you on your school journey.

Parenting Practitioner sessions

Free Parenting Sessions with Helen Diamond – Don’t Miss Out!

We’re thrilled to be welcoming Helen Diamond, Parenting Practitioner from CatholicCare, to St Patrick’s on 28th August. With nearly three decades of experience, and her own journey as a parent and grandparent, Helen brings warmth, wisdom and practical support to families.

Helen will be offering free one-on-one parenting consultations during her visit. This is a wonderful opportunity to talk through any challenges, ask questions or simply gain new insights to support you on your parenting journey.

Spaces are limited, so be sure to register your interest by emailing Helen directly at helen.diamond@catholiccarevic.org.au. You won’t want to miss this!
