Principal's Message

Dear parents and carers,
Welcome to Week 4!
What a wonderful day we had yesterday at Picnic in the Paddock! The weather Gods were kind to us, clearing the clouds for some afternoon sunshine. It was another fantastic community event and a great success, raising valuable funds for our kids. A huge thank you to our incredible Parents and Friends Committee for all your organisation, time and enthusiasm in bringing our community together once again.
A special thank you goes to Amy Atwell, who has been the PIP Committee Chair for the past four years. Amy, your organisation, commitment and leadership have been outstanding, we are so grateful for all your hard work and dedication.
As Amy steps down from the role, we are now looking for someone (or a small team) who would like to take on this position. If you are organised, community-minded and keen to give it a go, please reach out. You will be well supported with a smooth handover and transition process.
Structured Literacy Research Project - Invitation to Participate
As you are aware from previous newsletters, St Pat’s are involved in the DOBCEL Structured Literacy Research Project, conducted by researchers from the School of Education at La Trobe University, in collaboration with the DOBCEL Flare Primary Literacy Strategy team.
Parents and guardians are invited to take part in an informal online 30-minute interview to share your experiences of having a child (or children) taught using a structured literacy approach at our school.
Interviews will be conducted by a member of the La Trobe University research team, and participants will receive a $25 grocery voucher as a thank-you for their time.
If you would like to take part, please read and complete the Participant Information and Consent Form below:
🔗 https://redcap.latrobe.edu.au/redcap/surveys/?s=NCJ9N9EWJDAF733PParticipation is voluntary, and you may change your mind at any time. Once consent is provided, you will be contacted to arrange a suitable interview time.
