Principal's Message
Dear Parents and Carers,
Remote and Flexible Learning Updates
Congratulations to our students and families for continuing with the challenging environment that is remote and flexible learning. As a school we understand that this increases the demands on families, please feel free to contact the school or your child’s classroom teacher if you need assistance with anything. Please continue to contact your child’s classroom teacher through ClassDojo or via email. This week we have made some changes to our remote and flexible learning program. The processes that we have put in place to assist student learning is the development of the Specialist Wednesday teaching program and the offer to print learning programs that can be collected from school. I hope this has helped in some way. We are very hopeful that our state’s lockdown will end this coming Tuesday night and we will be welcoming back students on-site on Wednesday 28/7/21. As always, we will continue to keep you informed when information becomes available.
Insight SRC
Beginning next week there will be a number of students and families in our school that will be asked to complete an Insight SRC School Improvement Survey. The parent survey is designed to assist schools in gaining an understanding of parents’ perceptions of their children’s experience of school. The results will benefit everyone within the school by providing valuable information about the ways in which the school can use staff, student and parent input to plan programs and activities to improve your child’s experience at school. If you are asked to complete the survey, I ask that you take the time to do so and give the school honest feedback to ensure we are informed of your thoughts and opinions in regards to the questions asked. Thank you.
Congratulations Mr. Templeton
On Tuesday this week, Mr. Templeton and his fiance, Annie, became the proud parents of Patrick (Paddy) Raymond Templeton. Paddy and Annie are both healthy and are going well. Paddy weighed 6.9lb. We wish Mr T and Annie all the best as they begin the wonderful journey of parenthood. Mr T will return from parental leave on Wednesday 28/7.
Welcome Nina and Myra!
Next week we have two students joining our St. Pat’s community. Nina (Yr 6) and Myra (Yr 3) are sisters and have moved to Koroit from Tasmania. Both girls will be meeting their classmates via Google meets on Monday morning and are looking forward to meeting their new friends in person on Wednesday when we are scheduled to return to on-site learning. We wish Nina and Myra all the best as the begin the next phase of their educational journey as part of St. Pat’s in Koroit.
Kind regards,
Nick Murrell
