2021, Term 4, Week 6 Newsletter
Principal's Message
Dear Parents and Carers,
This week our school recognised Remembrance Day through observing a minutes silence, the last post, classroom activities and discussions and our Yr 6s laying a wreath at our local cenotaph. Our Yr 6s were also lucky enough to have local RSL member Ken Cook speak with them at the conclusion of the ceremony. Below is a reading from John that provides a thought prompting reflection upon this reading and its connection to the many sacrifices that accompany war. I encourage you to take some time to read through this passage and reflect.
My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. You are my friends if you do what I command. I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you. You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you. (John 15:12-17)
Outside School Hours Care (OSHC)
Unfortunately, both Wendy and Rachel have indicated that they will no longer be facilitating our OSHC program in 2022. This is a tremendous loss for the program as both Wendy and Rachel have provided a safe, caring and fun environment for our students who attend OSHC. You will see lower in the newsletter that we have an advertisement seeking applicants for this position commencing in 2022. We will also be posting this on our school’s Facebook page. If you know anyone in our (or wider) community who may be qualified and interested please encourage them to apply. I am happy to answer any questions regarding the position.
Enjoy a safe weekend
Kind regards,
Nick Murrell

This private Mass will begin at 10.30 am for candidates and their families.
With 17 candidates celebrating the long awaited Eucharist, we encourage families to please limit 6 family members per candidate when attending Mass.
Due to current COVID guidelines all adults attending the Celebration of Eucharist are required to be fully vaccinated. Masks are compulsory, social distancing protocols apply and QR code check-in is required.
In readiness for the celebration we encourage candidates to revisit their sacramental packs at home. At school we will gather all candidates for a practice and further learning in preparation for the great day.
