2022, Term 1, Week 9 Newsletter
Principal's Message
Dear Parents and Carers,
Welcome to this week’s newsletter.
Harmony Day Prayer
O’ God You create all people in your image.
We thank you for the astonishing variety of races and cultures in this world.
Enrich our lives by ever widening circles of friendship and show us your presence in those
who differ most from us, until our knowledge of your love is made perfect in our love for all
your children;
Through your son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen
Reminders for the week:
Harmony Day Thursday 31st March at St Patrick’s
There's little doubt that Australia is one of the most culturally diverse nations on the planet. Harmony Day, which is observed each year on March 21, celebrates this diversity, aiming to foster inclusiveness, respect and the idea that people of all different cultures can make a valuable contribution to society. We are having a whole school celebration on Thursday 31st March at St Patrick’s to come together and celebrate the diversity of our school community.
On this day, everyone is encouraged to dress up in ORANGE or the colours of the country of their cultural heritage. The day will include lots of activities to allow students to learn about the cultures within our wonderful school community.
There will be:
- ‘Harmony Day Honey Joys’ for morning tea,
- A whole school Harmony Day assembly at 9.30am - all are welcome
- Whole school Harmony Day activity rotations
- A sausage sizzle for lunch!
