Principal's Message
Dear Parents and Carers,
Koroit Irish Festival (KIF)
Parents and Friends
This weekend is the Koroit Irish Festival. I thank the amazing work done so for by the Parents and Friends Irish Festival volunteer team. The amount of work going on behind the scenes is incredible, it is amazing the time and effort people are willing to put in to support the students of our school. We are truly blessed to have such a willing and able parent group. I wish all organisers, coordinators and volunteers contributing to our Irish Festival fundraising efforts the best of luck this weekend. Thank you.
Procession - Student involvement
Our school will again be participating in the procession, if your child would like to join in, please complete this very short survey to let us know. Procession Survey Involvement Link
The dress code will be school sports polo and your choice of other clothing, i.e., casual pants, trousers, skirt, shoes etc. Feel free to add some Irish flare!
Students are required to have a ticket to participate. These are free with adult tickets. The school has purchased 20 children's tickets for those who would like to participate and whose parents/guardian is not attending the festival.
The procession is Saturday 12-12.30 pm. Students will be required to arrive at the North Street gate gathering area at 11.45am.
The Rattlin’ Bog
This morning at school Mr Anthony Dowling from the KIF committee visited our school and taught our whole school how to do the Rattlin' Bog. Anthony was full of energy and enthusiasm which transferred to our students participating in an incredible way. This was an amazing experience and a sight to see! See our ClassDojo school story for some uploaded videos.
ANZAC Day School Leaders
Thank you to the four school leaders that represented our school on ANZAC Day at the Koroit War Memorial. Our student leaders laid a wreath created by our school. At the end of last term, Oliver McMahon, Grace McMahon & Charlotte Lilley harvested rosemary from our school garden, a symbol of remembrance, and made the wreath. Our school leaders represented our school with responsibility and respect, two of our SWPBS core values. See our ClassDojo school story for images.
May Race Day Public Holiday
A reminder that there is no school this coming Thursday 5/5/22. This is a Public Holiday.
Kind regards,
Nick Murrell
Principal

SWPBS @ St Pat's
At St. Patrick’s our SWPBS core values are Be Responsible, Be Respectful and Be Safe. We have developed a MATRIX that is used to explicitly teach our students how to be responsible, respectful and safe in all elements of their school life. These core values are part of every classroom and are implemented by all staff throughout our school.
This term our students have started in an incredible way with many students visiting Mr Murrell for a commendation certificate and a prize! This is amazing to see. Below are the SWPBS core values for our learning spaces at St Pat's.

Cross Country
On Thursday our students participated in the 2022 School Cross Country. It was an absolute delight to see all students who competed with perseverance, endurance and pride when representing themselves and their school house. There were numerous examples of students displaying their incredible cross country running ability, persistence to see the distance through and encouragement of peers to help them keep going during such a tough experience. Congratulations to Cork (Red) for winning the overall Cros Country Shield.
Thanks to Mrs Swarbrick and Mr Varley for coordinating the event on the day.
