Principal's Message
Dear Parents and Carers,
Confirmation
Congratulations to the Year 3 children who celebrated the sacrament of Confirmation this week. The sacrament was the next step in their Catholic faith journey. We wish all of the confirmation candidates in our Parish a prayerful blessing. Thanks to the families and the teachers for supporting them in their preparation.
2022 Confirmation candidates were; Isla Dobson, Mazie Fechete, Josephine Foard, Matilda Gilding, Sadie Langdon, Ava Monnier and Aria Toki.
School Closure Day
A reminder that Tuesday, June 14th is a school closure day. This day follows the Queen’s Birthday public holiday. This is a pupil free day. On this day staff will be at school undertaking professional development facilitated by Allan Hutchison, Senior Psychologist, Catholic Education Ballarat.
Employment
In this weekend's Warrnambool Standard, coming up on social media and further in this newsletter we are advertising for a school cleaner. We are very sad to see Tiff leaving St Pat’s, as she has been an incredible asset to our school community for a number of years and has kept our school clean and safe throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. If you, or anyone you know, would be interested in this position, I encourage you to read or pass on the further information provided in this newsletter. Any further questions about the role can be directed to Nick Murrell via phone or email.
OSHC Update
We are currently reviewing our Outside School Hours Care service. This review is in response to enrolment numbers in the service being at an all-time low. Families who are currently utilising the service have received communication from the school. Rest assured that our school will continue to provide access to after school care. We are very conscious that this service supports families in a number of ways.
Assembly dates
Ms Tegan McDonald is currently compiling our assembly roster for next term. These dates will be published on the school calendar which can be accessed through SZapp. The purpose of this is to give families plenty of notice of when your child’s class will be hosting assembly in Term 3.
Kind regards,
Nick Murrell
Principal
