Acknowledgement of Country

St. Patrick's School acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land on which we work, the Koroitch-gundidj people of the Maar Nation. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging.

Principal's Message

Dear Parents and Carers,

Extract from the Diocesan newsletter

"Last week I took the opportunity to visit schools in our Southern Zone. On 25 August I was welcomed at St Colman’s Mortlake and St Patrick’s Koroit. Lucky for me, Book Week was taking place and I joined the St Patrick’s staff in dressing up as Gru and the Minions!"

School Fees

Outstanding School Fees

Each year our school receives approximately 85% of funding toward the overall cost of running our school for the year from the Federal and State Governments. Consequently, our school community is required to raise the remaining 15% each year to provide the tuition, programs and resources our children need to ensure the best education. This 15% is raised through School Fees, Student Levies, donations and fundraising.

Currently, we have a substantial amount of outstanding school fees for the 2022 school year, we understand that the school year is still yet to conclude, however, we are getting toward the home stretch. If you have any outstanding school fees it would be appreciated if you could attend to these in the near future. If you have any questions please contact Bronie or Nick and be assured of respect and total confidentiality. No child will be restricted in accessing a quality Catholic Education at St Patrick’s because of prohibitive school fees.

Volunteer Levy

If you are yet to claim your volunteer levy for time volunteered so far this year, please visit the office to collect a claim form. Picnic in the Paddock volunteering is now included in the schedule. This levy is able to be deducted from your school fees once volunteer levy forms are received. The Volunteer Levy amounts for each volunteering opportunity are to be reviewed in 2023.

5/6 Camp funding

Thursday morning, I sent an email to all families of Year 5/6 students. The email is regarding senior camp funding. Please check your inbox for this email. Some parents have reported the email went to junk or spam. If your email went to junk or spam try adjusting your settings to whitelist the email address or make important this recent email. It will help these future emails go to your inbox.

5/6 Camp

We wish all the students, parent helpers and staff all the best as they embark on senior camp to Roses Gap next week. It has been a very long time since any group from our school has been on camp, and the excitement is obvious among our 5/6 group. We thank Andrew McMahon, Nick Monnier and Tara Leishman for volunteering their time to come along and support our students. Safe travels and enjoy the experience! I will see everyone bright and early on Monday morning.

Kind regards,

Nick Murrell

Principal
