2022, Term 4, Week 3 Newsletter
Acknowledgement of Country
St. Patrick's School acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land on which we work, the Koroitch-gundidj people of the Maar Nation. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging.
Principal's Message
Dear Parents and Carers,
Prayer
God of Humility,
In our successful and comfortable lives, help us to identify our own frailties and shortcomings.
Remind us of those who are sometimes forgotten, who require a light to be shone on their needs.
Amen
Picnic in the Paddock
Preparations are well and truly under way for the inaugural Picnic in the Paddock next weekend, Sunday October 30th. 11am-3pm.
We would absolutely love it if as many people as possible from our school community could come along and support the day. The event differs from a traditional school fair in that families are asked to come and participate in the day, rather than run a stall. As you have seen in many newsletters there will be something for everyone on the day. Don't forget to pre-purchase your rides wristbands for children. Also, the cake stall would love it if families could provide something as per the information sent home last week. Thanks to the Picnic in the Paddock team for all their hard work so far.
Food Share Food Drive update
Today we received a call from IGA Koroit letting us know that our students' Food Drive to support Food Share has had an overwhelming response so far. Annabelle, Tai, Zoe and Arli went down to IGA to collect two full trolleys of groceries that have been kindly donated by the Koroit community, including one shopper who did a $200 shop to donate to the drive. Well done to our school leaders, and especially Annabelle Foster who went to IGA to ask about advertising the campaign in the store. Leadership in action! See the photos below.
