Principal's Message
Dear Parents and Carers,
Scripture - Remembrance Day reflection
My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. You are my friends if you do what I command. I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you. You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you. This is my command: Love each other. (John 15:12-17)
Today our school recognised Remembrance Day by our senior students attending the Koroit cenotaph for the Remembrance Day ceremony. Our Hands-on Learning students laid a wreath made from our garden’s rosemary bush. Our school also had the honour of signing the national anthem at the service, thank you to Monique Brown for leading the choir. Our junior students also presented their reflections about Remembrance Day at assembly through their pieces of work about the text ANZAC Ted. Thank you to everyone for their reverent observance of this important day.
CLOSURE DAY MONDAY 14/11/22
This coming Monday is a closure day, there is no school on this day. Our teachers will be spending the day reviewing assessments, learning achievements and writing semester 2 reports for distribution at the end of this term.
Basketball Court structure
We have had consistent works being completed over the past few weeks to raise the height of the structure and commence the roofing component of the build. You will see that the majority of the roofing was installed today, which is fantastic! The structure is looking very impressive and will provide an excellent undercover space for recess, lunch, PE lessons, outdoor learning opportunities and before and after school shelter for many years to come. The works are scheduled to be completed in the coming weeks.
School Disco
Thank you to our Parents and Friends who have got our school Disco back up and running for the first time since the pandemic hit. The Disco is next Friday 18/11/22 6pm - 8pm. Supervision will be provided by Parents and Friends volunteers. Parents/Carers will be required to sign their children in and out of the disco upon arrival and departure. There will also be sausages ($2) and slushies ($1) available to purchase at the disco. Entry is free. Senior school students have been compiling playlists from each classroom and putting posters around the school advertising the event. I am sure many students are excited to get their ‘groove on’ next Friday!
Enjoy a safe and happy weekend
Kind regards,
Nick Murrell

School Fees / Volunteer levy
School Fees
Each year our school receives approximately 85% of funding toward the overall cost of running our school for the year from the Federal and State Governments. Consequently, our school community is required to raise the remaining 15% each year to provide the tuition, programs and resources our children need to ensure the best education. This 15% is raised through School Fees, Student Levies, donations and fundraising.
Currently, we have a substantial amount of outstanding school fees for the 2022 school year, we understand that the school year is still yet to conclude, however, we are getting toward the home stretch. If you have any outstanding school fees it would be appreciated if you could attend to these in the near future. If you have any questions please contact Bronie or Nick and be assured of respect and total confidentiality. No child will be restricted in accessing a quality Catholic Education at St Patrick’s because of prohibitive school fees.
Volunteer Levy
If you are yet to claim your volunteer levy for 2022, please do so as soon as possible. This will allow us to finilise 2022 school fee accounts. Volunteer levy forms are available at the office.
