Principal's Message
Dear Parents and Carers,
Christmas Prayer
Loving Father, in this holy period of prayer and song and laughter, we thank you for the great wonders you have sent us. Lord, for the shining star and the angel’s song, for the infant’s cry in a lowly manger. We thank you for the Word made flesh in a little Child. We accept his glory and are showered in its radiance.
God, be with us as we sing the ironies of Christmas, the incomprehensible understood, the poetry made hard fact, the helpless Babe who brings the world asunder. We kneel before you shepherds, innkeepers, and wise men. Help us to rise higher than we are.
Amen.
The past two years at this time of year I have written about the new learnings, challenges and our strong community, this year, however, it has been sensational for our students have had the opportunity to flourish in a form of normality.
Events that we had for so long been taken for granted have been an amazing part of our school year. School camps, excursions, incursions, our Fairytale Christmas concert, school representation (ANZAC day, Remembrance day, Foodshare visit), sporting events (football, netball, basketball, athletics, cross country, triathlon plus more) and school orientation programs have all been activities that have allowed our students to enjoy and fully experience a regular school year. Amazing!
I thank all of our students, families, staff, friends and wider community for their individual and group contributions to the amazing year that has been 2022. I wish all in the St Patrick's community a reverent, safe, healthy and merry Christmas.
Merry Christmas,
Nick Murrell
Principal

Employment updates
Recently we advertised a part-time Learning Support Officer position. I am pleased to announce that Mr Seamus Brady has accepted this position and will return to the St Patrick's Community as a Learning Support Officer next year. Seamus was our school's first ever trainee and has since applied his LSO qualification in a variety of school settings. Welcome back Seamus.
I am also pleased to announce that Miss Ella Lewis and Miss Monique Brown will be staying on at St Pat's in 2023 in part time LSO positions. We are very lucky to retain these two LSOs who have given so much to our students and school in 2022.
All three of these appointments are excellent news for our community as they ensure a high level of support to student needs at our school. There will be no trainee LSO position in 2023.
