Acknowledgement of Country

St. Patrick's School acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land on which we work, the Koroitch-gundidj people of the Maar Nation. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging.

Principal's Message

Dear Parents and Carers,

Easter Liturgy

This afternoon at our Easter Liturgy we were reminded of the special time that is approaching for our Catholic faith.  Today we remembered the story of Jesus’s suffering and death, as we prepare for Holy Thursday and Good Friday. Today, as we remembered Jesus’ story, we opened our hearts to receive the comfort and healing strength of his love for us. As part of the Easter liturgy, each of the classes presented part of the Holy Week journey. All students showed great reverence and courage in getting up and performing for their peers and our visitors.

Included in today’s liturgy and school assembly was our annual Easter raffle. Thank you to all families and friends of St Patrick’s who sold and purchased raffle tickets. Special thanks to Jess Morris for coordinating the raffle and coming along to our gathering today to help draw the raffle.

The lucky winners of the Easter Raffle are:

1st Lenehan family

2nd Fechete family

3rd Xander Perry

Koroit Irish Festival Procession

This year the Irish Festival Procession is back in pre-COVID full swing! Our school will be participating in the procession with a float. If you would like your child to be part of the procession, some students will be on a trailer for the float, others will be walking alongside, please complete the form linked below.

The procession commences at 12 midday on April 29th. Students will be required to gather near Duke’s Commercial Hotel at 11.45am.

Our theme is going to be a farm theme, students can (if they choose to) come dressed as a farmer or farm animal OR in the school sports uniform.

Please fill in this form if your child/ren will participate.

Start of Term 2

Term starts for students on Wednesday April 26th. Monday April 24th is a school closure day, staff will be participating in professional learning about a new wellbeing initiative for our school - ReLATE, facilitated by the MacKillop Institute. Tuesday April 25th is the ANZAC Day public holiday.

Enjoy a happy and safe school holidays and Easter break.

Kind regards,

Nick Murrell
